A FETE including games and stalls is being set up to raise funds for an armed forces charity.

Love Southsea is organising a fete and is asking businesses to come forward and think of fun or vintage games they can offer.

Money raised from the event will go to Help for Heroes.

Those businesses who also wish to sell goods will need to book a pitch in a separate ‘seller’s row’.

Ideas for game stalls so far include a coconut shy, a strongman hammer contest, a smash the crockery stand, hoopla, kiss me quick and having stocks.

Louise Whitmore, organiser, said: ‘I am looking for companies that want to get involved – this will not only raise a lot of money for a great cause, but will also be a great platform for local businesses.’

The fete takes place on Sunday, July 3, in Castle Field, Southsea.
