Braving their fear of heights to raise money for charity, Cassie Hindry and Laura McCormack are this week’s We Can Do It T-shirt winners.
The pair will be jumping out of a plane to raise money for Help For Heroes.
But the ladies will have to conquer their fear of heights first.
Cassie, 26, from Southsea, says: ‘Laura and I wanted to do something crazy to raise money for charity and we thought you can’t get much crazier than jumping out a plane.
‘I have a massive fear of heights and falling but I am still looking forward to it.
‘The charity means a lot to me because I come from a navy family and my boyfriend is currently serving in Afghanistan.
‘Help For Heroes also means a lot to Laura because her husband is a veteran submariner.’
Cassie and Laura set a target of £1,000 and have exceeded that by reaching £1,500.
But the build-up hasn’t been plain sailing.
The pair were meant to do the jump five days ago, but bad weather meant it had to be put off.
‘We were gutted when we found out we couldn’t do it when we first planned,’says Cassie.
‘We had prepared ourselves, but there’s nothing we could have done. Now we’re just really looking forward to it and can’t wait to get going.’
