CHILDREN’S cancer charity CLIC Sargent has thanked News readers for helping to raise nearly £70,000 in Hampshire last year.

Around £69,548.38 was raised in the county and the funds will go towards providing community outreach nurses, social workers, grants, and a helpline.

Its free home-from-home holiday services will also benefit.

All the services are for families from Hampshire.

Chantelle Hornsby, community fundraising manager, said it was a ‘great achievement’.
