Cancer charity thanks shoppers

Nearly 2,700 cases of non-recent child abuse have been recorded by police in Hampshire. The NSPCC's chief executive said it is a sign that more people are confident in reporting the crimes perpetrated against them.

MORE than £200 was raised by volunteers for a cancer charity.

A total of £264.32 was raised by eight supporters of Macmillan Cancer Support who collected money at Boots in Westbury Mall, Fareham Shopping Centre on Friday, July 26.

Joyce Maclean, secretary for Macmillan Support Fareham and district committee, said: ‘We are extremely grateful to anyone who donated.’
