MEMBERS of the Pakistani community held a candlelit vigil for the children slaughtered at a Peshawar school last week.

Flick Drummond, the prospective parliamentary Conservative candidate for Portsmouth South, organised the event at the Guildhall on Saturday.

The group lit 141 candles, one for each of those who died. She said: ‘This senseless killing of young people at the beginning of their lives is tragic and our hearts go out to the families affected.’
