A CONVOY of more than 200 Mini cars will be descending upon Southsea seafront.

The cars will leave from the Worplesdon Place Hotel, Guildford, on Sunday, April 3.

The fleet will leave at 10am and each car has paid £10 to enter.

The event has been organised by Leyland Job, of Surrey, who is raising money to help a friend suffering from cancer.

The 35-year-old said: ‘My friend has got bowel cancer and we’re trying to raise money for his treatment that costs about £1,200.

‘Anything extra will be donated to Cancer Research.

‘It is going to be a great day and I’m encouraging people in Portsmouth to come and support the event.’

On the day people will get the chance to donate money.
