A CAR was badly damaged after a fire broke out.

One crew from Cosham fire station was called to Spinnaker Drive in Hilsea.

Firefighters arrived at 12.30am yesterday to find a blue Peugeot that was well alight.

Hose reels were used to put out the flames, and firefighters say the car was ‘extremely burnt’.

The cause of the fire is currently unknown and is being investigated.

No one was in the vehicle at the time.
