FIREFIGHTERS tackled two car fires over the weekend.

A crew from Cosham fire station was called to Horsea Lane in Hilsea at 11.54am on Saturday after a car had been set on fire.

Firefighters tackled the blaze, which had spread to a fence with two appliances.

The cause is under investigation.

They were also called to the M27 eastbound between junctions 11 and 12 at 4.46pm on Saturday after a car’s engine had blown.
