A WOMAN was hurt after a car span out of control.

The accident happened in Laburnum Grove, North End, at about 10.30pm on Saturday.

A black Ford Ka crashed into a parked Ford Transit van, spun and lost its front wheel.

The female passenger in the car was checked for a minor head injury, but did not need further treatment from paramedics.

Police arranged recovery and the road was re-opened at around midnight.
