Weathermen make their Easter forecast

Weather experts have made their forecast for Easter - and it's not looking good.

The Met Office says that after a reasonable Good Friday, rain will sweep into the Portsmouth area on Saturday and is likely to remain for the rest of the holiday break.

The forecast is: ‘Thursday will again start dry and bright. Cloud will again increase during the afternoon, with more widespread rain arriving by evening. Maximum Temperature 11 °C.

‘Rain clearing during the morning then Good Friday afternoon fine and dry. Wind and rain spreading east on Saturday. Sunday still breezy with sunny intervals and heavy, possibly thundery showers.’
