THE generous people of Emsworth have given Christian Aid a festive boost.

Carols in St Peter’s Square raised a total of £225.80 for the charity, which is working to eradicate poverty around the world.

David Thompson, who organised the collection, said: ‘We would like to thank all the volunteer singers, the people of Emsworth for their generosity and the pastoral centre for its provision of hot drinks on a very cold morning.’
