A POVERTY charity based in Portsmouth has received a £77,787 grant from the Big Lottery Fund.

The funds will help Hope expand its existing service which offers hot food as well as food cupboard supplies.

The charity will also join forces with a recycling company to collect furniture and clothing to help raise finance. And it will run workshops in schools throughout the area to raise awareness of poverty, as well as workshops in finance control to help break the poverty cycle.
