Police punish 10-year-old girls for theft at Hayling Island holiday park

THIS man is wanted for three thefts from the same shop.

On each occasion he walked into the Co-op in Cambridge Road, Old Portsmouth, hid groceries and fled without paying.

The stolen goods are believed to be worth about £140.

Now police have released this CCTV image of the suspect in their bid to trace him.

The most recent theft happened at 3.40pm on Monday. The other two crimes were commited on January 10 and 15.

Crime desk investigator Nigel Dowland said: ‘We have CCTV images from the first two incidents and we believe it shows the same man.

‘He appears to be quite CCTV aware and often stands with his back to the cameras.

‘However, we believe that it is still possible to identify him from these images and are urging anyone with any information about who he is, to contact us as soon as possible.’

The suspect is white, aged in his mid to late 20s and about 5ft 11in.
