THERE are plenty of opportunities to explore wildlife at events put on by Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust next month.

n Experience the magic of nightjars and woodcocks on Wednesday, June 3 from 8.30pm to 10.30pm for £2 per person.

Meet at the entrance to the Forestry Commission car park in Manor Lodge Road, Havant Thicket.

n Walk round the lake on the Cosham IBM site enjoying flowers and maybe spotting some birds. £1.50 per person.

Meet in the car park off Western Road, Cosham, at 7pm on Wednesday, June 10.

n Southsea Wildlife Watch for families and young people takes place on Saturday, June 6 from 10am to midday at the Cumberland House Natural History Museum.

Under-eights must be accompanied by an adult. Booking is essential and it is £3 per person.

n Other events in June include a Gosport bat walk, Milton Common walk, Southsea beach explorers, a Portsdown flower walk and a Havant Thicket walk. For details go to
