PEOPLE are being invited to join the Portsmouth Choral Union for its annual ‘come and sing’ event.

This year the group will be rehearsing Stainer’s Crucifixion, after which an informal performance will take place.

The event takes place at All Saints Church, in Hambledon Road, Denmead, on January 14, from 7pm.

Yesterday, The News reported the event, and said it would be taking place in Commercial Road, Portsmouth.

It is in fact taking place in Denmead.

With 150 members, the Portsmouth Choral Union is one of the largest choirs in the south of England.

The cost is £3 for the audience and £5 for singers.
