A CANCER charity is thanking people for raising nearly £200.

Marie Curie volunteers launched the Great Daffodil Appeal last month.

People in Hayling Island and Waterlooville donated £199.77 in the month-long collection.

Community fundraiser Wendy Savage said: ‘We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who supported Marie Curie and helped to make this year’s appeal such a big success.

‘It simply wouldn’t be possible without our wonderful volunteer collectors, as well as everyone who generously made a donation to support people with a terminal illness.’
