PEOPLE with artistic flair are joining forces to take part in a craft playday this month.

The event, which is being held in the Scouts Hall in Baffins, Portsmouth, will bring people together to enjoy a day of crafts.

It is being organised on July 28 in aid of Help for Heroes and already a number of people have signed up to take part.

In return for a £15 fee, crafters can use the hall from 10am to 4pm and will be given tea and coffee and lunch.

There will also be a raffle in aid of the charity, with prizes donated by national craft companies and local firms.

The Royal Mail will match fund up to £200 raised on the day and have provided a set up grant to cover the cost of the hall.

Organiser Sue McDermott said: ‘The idea is that crafters can get together for a fun day and raise money for such a good cause at the same time.

‘Come along and share hobby with likeminded people.’

For more information and for crafters to express their interest in attending, call Sue on 07722 891701 or email susan@mcdermott161.fslife.co.uk.
