PEOPLE will do their best to chomp through mega sandwiches.

An eating contest has been organised by Sarah Kelly, at The Green Posts, in London Road, North End.

It is one of six events planned through February and March to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Contestants will have to eat a 2ft Subway sandwich as quickly as possible.

Sarah said: ‘I’m hoping this will be a fun night.

‘Although we have people who will be taking part in the challenge, it would be good for people to come and support them.

‘It’s free to enter, and all we are encouraging is that people donate some money on the night.

‘There will also be live music after the eating contest.’

The event takes place on Saturday, February 3, from 8pm.
