A NEWLY-FORMED football team will play a charity match in memory of one of their school friends.

Clarence Tavern FC will take on a team formed of old school friends of Whiteley’s Matt Couzens – who committed suicide in 2013 – called Couzens United.

The match, which takes place at Bay House School, in Gomer Lane, Gosport, will kick off at 10.30am on Sunday, August 2.

It will raise money for the charity CALM - the Campaign Against Living Miserably.

Before the game both teams, with friends and family, will release yellow balloons in honour of Matt.

After the match there will be a medal presentation, barbecue, cake sale and raffles.
