POLICE held a golf match to raise cash for injured members of the armed forces.

The Sussex Police Golf Section raised £1,500 for the Help for Heroes charity.

Co-ordinator Lou Pye added: ‘On behalf of the charity, many thanks for such a generous donation. This money will help go toward the practical and direct support that we provide to our wounded.’

Det Insp Mick Richards said: ‘I would like to thank the guests for the donation of auction items that boosted the contribution.’
