AN ARMED forces charity has marked its sixth anniversary.

The group, called Tickets for Troops, gets tickets for sporting events, theatre and concerts and gives them away to Armed Forces personnel.

Director of operations Veronica Bamford said: ‘We are extremely proud to be celebrating such a significant milestone for the charity.

‘The support we receive on a daily basis from our donors is outstanding and we are truly grateful to each one of them for honouring and recognising the tremendous men and women who serve our country.’

The charity has given away more than 800,000 free tickets since 2009 to events including the Rugby World Cup, the 2012 Olympics, the Invictus Games, the Isle of Wight Festival and the British F1 Grand Prix.
