STAFF and volunteers at charity shop are celebrating after winning a top award.

The Salvation Army shop, in London Road, Waterlooville, is the best-performing in the UK, ahead of more than 100 other shops across the country.

The award was given to manager Carla Davidson, at a ceremony celebrating the 20th anniversary of the trading arm of the charity, in Birmingham.

The shop opened its doors in November 2009 and sells clothes, toys, books and bric-a-brac. All profits from the shop go directly to the charity.
