AN MP swapped Parliament for a charity shop when she was shown the ropes at a Gosport shop.

Caroline Dinenage was shown the ropes at the Solent Diabetes Association shop in Gosport High Street.

The Gosport MP met with volunteers and trustees where she was given a tour and shown how to sort donations before working the till and assisting customers.

Ms Dinenage, said: ‘These organisations are the lifeblood of our community and the embodiment of David Cameron’s Big Society. I hope to get around to visiting as many as possible to meet the volunteers, understand about their work and do my bit to help.’ Call 02393 522121.
