BOOK-LOVERS can enjoy a reading from one of the city’s favourite sons.

The Charles Dickens Birthplace Museum will host a reading of the author’s work by Geoffrey Christopher, a member of the Dickens Fellowship.

It takes place on Sunday, September 7 at 3pm.

Then on Tuesday, September 9 the fellowship is holding a talk called Ladies in Dickens. It is at John Pounds Centre, Queen Street, Portsea, from 2.30pm.
