VOLUNTEERS are holding a candlelight service to mark 25 years since one of the world’s worst nuclear disasters.
The Havant and Waterlooville branch of the Chernobyl Children’s Lifeline, which brings child victims of the nuclear disaster to the UK for recuperative breaks, will hold an event at Fort Purbrook, Cosham, on April 25.
Cosham fire station will support them during the service where each person will hold a candle and form the number 25.
The anniversary of the explosion of reactor four at the Ukraine power station is April 26. Events are being held across the world
