A BABY – thought to be about 18 months old – became distressed when it accidentally locked itself in a car.

The mum of the child had been filling her vehicle with fuel at the Shell garage on the A27, between Emsworth and Chichester.

She gave her baby the car keys to play with as she went to pay.

The child locked the car and became very distressed.

One crew from Havant went at 11am on Saturday to free the child.
