A RESTAURANT is giving away a chocolate egg weighing 2kg in a bid to raise money for charity.

Ask Italian, on West Street, in Fareham, is holding a raffle with the lucky winner taking home the hand-made Italian chocolate Easter egg.

The egg is on display in the restaurant and money raised will be donated to Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity, in London.

Restaurant general manager Rached Ali said: ‘We’re so proud of our relationship with Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity.

‘We’re grateful to staff and customers who have helped us to raise money for such a fantastic cause and we can’t wait to raise even more with the Easter egg raffle.’

Raffle tickets are still on sale for £1 and the winner will be chosen on Good Friday.

Sarah Norris, account manager at the charity said: ‘We’re delighted to have Ask Italian’s continued support.

‘The money raised by the team in Fareham will help to fund the hospital’s new surgery centre, due to open in 2017.’
