Choreographer for the stars gets children moving

HE has worked with world-famous pop stars including Kylie Minogue and Justin Timberlake.

And now, youngsters in Portsmouth have been learning to dance thanks to choreographer Tim Noble.

He taught two music video masterclasses for children aged between six and 16, who are involved in the Centre Stage Academy of Theatre Arts.

The children learn drama, dancing and singing at The Stacey Centre in Copnor.

Nikki Ball, principal of the academy, said: ‘This was such a great opportunity for young Portsmouth children to have someone as high-profile as Tim to come to their dance school and share his experience and skills.

‘It was amazing and inspiring. The kids got so much out of it.

‘It’s getting someone down to show what can be achieved with hard work and determination.

‘He told them how they can follow their dreams.’

Tim has been Kylie’s backing dancer and has also worked with Beyonce and on the Harry Potter films.

He sat down with the children and had a question and answer session so they could find out more about how he got on in the business

Nikki added: ‘The kids absolutely loved it.

‘I have had so much positive feedback from it.

‘It was a really successful and enjoyable day for all the kids.

‘It sends them out on a high and it keeps them positive and makes them want to keep coming back to class and wanting to learn.’
