IT WAS A sight to see for people at a Christmas tree festival.

St Mary’s Church, in Alverstoke, was transformed by 85 trees which will be on display today and all weekend.

Everyone has put in so much effort - they all look beautiful.

Groups from across Gosport have worked hard decorating their trees.

Committee member for the festival Enid Billington said: ‘The decorations aren’t just baubles and tinsel. They are truly spectacular and this is definitely the best festival so far.

‘Everyone has put in so much effort - they all look beautiful.’

The festival is on from 11am until 6pm.
