AS THE Christmas season gets under way, Trinity Methodist Church is offering a full programme of festive activites for the whole family.

The church, based in Southsea, will be raising money for charity and to restore its unique building.

Reverend Janice Morgan, Trinity’s minister, said: ‘Trinity is a listed building, architecturally unique, with a tower that’s in grave need of attention.

‘Our Christmas programme is aimed at raising money for restoring the tower, with plans to install a staircase to allow the public access to the stunning views from the top.’

Kicking things off is a Christmas fair this Saturday with free entry and a variety of stalls.

On Sunday, the church will host the Southsea Community Choir’s Christmas Concert, with The Portsmouth Pluckers Ukulele Group on hand to entertain.

Tickets are £5 and the proceeds will be split between church funds and Enable Ability, a Portsmouth-based disability charity.
