PORTSMOUTH has been invited to bid for a grant aimed a helping combat areas of poverty in under fives.
The Big Lottery Fund’s Fulfilling Lives: A Better Start will see four or five areas in the country receive between £30m - £50m over ten years.
The programme wants groups and organisations to develop new ideas to tackle problems these areas face.
A meeting is being held for groups that work with families and young parents in the city in conference room A at Portsmouth’s civic offices on February 12 at 6pm. The Big Lottery Fund will select the successful areas by March 2014.
