The yachts in the Gosport-based race left New York headed for Ireland.

They are expected to reach Londonderry on June 21 before heading on to Holland and, finally, to London.

The race, founded by Sir Robin Knox-Johnston and run from his Gosport-based Clipper Ventures team, is skippered by professionals, but crewed by amateurs.
