MEMBERS of weight loss groups have donated clothes to a cancer charity.

Portsmouth and Southsea Slimming World members gave clothes to Cancer Research UK.

The Campaign, named The Big Slimming World Clothes Throw, started at the beginning of the month and has encouraged members nationwide to donate clothes to the charity.

Each bag is worth up to £25 with all profits going to the charity.

Lisa Pitman, who runs the Fratton group at Portsmouth Academy for Girls, said: ‘Members of my Slimming World group have embraced this fabulous fundraising campaign.

‘They have been more than happy to donate their “big” clothes because they know that they’re never going to need them again.’
