GROUPS and charities that work with carers are being invited to apply for funding from The Co-operative.
The money is being offered to provide support for carers during a year-long fundraising drive for Carers Trust.
Zoe Bartlett-Casey, organiser of the funding scheme, said: ‘Carers Trust received an overwhelming number of votes to become our charity of the year.
‘While all the fantastic fundraising work is going on across our business, we were keen to offer a tangible benefit to this group of people to make a difference right away.
‘Groups involved with carers can apply for up to £400 to fund days out or activities for carers and those they care for if appropriate.’
