Community cash on offer

MAKE the most of your local Wilkinson store as they are crying out for people to help.

The shops in Portsmouth and Havant are offering a helping hand to community groups and charities that need extra support with local projects.

Whether the project benefits young people, families or the elderly, Wilkinson is appealing to anyone who is passionate about their local community to apply for a donation.

People will be able to apply for a monetary donation, Wilkinson products or team members can volunteer their time.

Shan Roberts, store manager at Wilkinson in Portsmouth, said: ‘The Helping Hands scheme is an initiative where funding is provided to support local projects, directly benefitting the lives of people who live and work close to the store.

‘As a company, it’s great to be able to help local community groups and charities by giving something back to the area, whether it’s seeds to help a community garden bloom or paint for an animal shelter.’
