A CRAFT club for kids is opening in a supermarket’s community room.

The Create Club, for children aged seven to 11, will be held in the Tesco Fareham Community Room, in Quay Street, every Wednesday.

It will start on Wednesday, April 22 and will run from 6 until 7pm during term-time.

Organiser Louise Richardson said: ‘The children will be exploring awesome artwork inspired by amazing artists next term, so they will look at work by artists such as Matisse, Andy Warhol and Kandinsky, before creating their own piece of artwork in the style of the artist.

‘I’m starting the club because I wanted to offer older children a regular art and craft club that they could go to to express their creativity and use their imagination, beyond what they learn at school.’

All profits made from the class will go to charity CF Kids, which helps children with Cystic Fibrosis.

Parents do not need to stay with their children.
