FIREFIGHTERS were called out to two cooking-related fire alarms yesterday.

One appliance from Gosport fire station was sent to a home in Privett Road, Gosport, at 10.24am after toast set off an alarm.

Then a crew from the station was sent to Homeryde House, in High Street, Lee-on-the-Solent, at 2.44pm.

A resident’s cooking had set off the alarm at the retirement and sheltered housing unit.

Both alerts were sparked by automatic fire alarms.
