CLUMSY cooking caused three fires to break out in kitchens in Cosham and Havant.

Cosham firefighters were first called out to a fire in Oracle Drive, Purbrook, at just after 11am yesterday.

Fire crews attended to put out a small oven fire.

Later on at around 1pm crews were called again to a kitchen fire, this time to an address in London Road, Cosham, with another fire involving an oven.

Havant Fire Station were also called to an incident – a frying pan had caught on fire on a cooker – in Billys Copse, Leigh Park, at just before 10am.

In all incidents two fire engines attended and there were no injuries.
