A MAN is being chased by a council over an unpaid bill.

Gosport Borough Council wants Dale Fletcher, of Camden Street, Gosport, to pay £582.70 over an unpaid Performing Rights Society bill from the Gosport Waterfront Community Festival in Walpole Park in 2012.

Mr Fletcher had previously agreed to pay the bill but said he should not be solely responsible it.

In a statement he said: ‘I will be vigorously defending the council’s claim against me.’

The claim was issued earlier this month.
