THERE was lots of Christmas cracker pulling as more than 40 people enjoyed a party.

Westbourne Parish hall was the venue for the annual festive bash of Ems Valley Community Transport.

The not-for-profit organisation provides lifts for elderly people who need to attend hospital or GP appointments.

Clients came together for the merry knees-up, which was funded by local businesses and personal donations.

Pauline Robinson, a member of the group’s committee, said: ‘It went very well and everyone enjoyed it.

‘We had children from Westbourne school singing Christmas carols and Santa gave clients a small gift.’

Anyone in the Emsworth area interested in using the service can call (01243) 375412.
