TRAFFIC was brought to a standstill on a busy road during rush hour after crash involving a motorbike and a car.

The Suzuki GSF 600 collided with a silver Vauxhall Astra at the Rowner Lane junction with the B3334 Rowner Road in Rowner, Gosport, shortly before 8am yesterday.

The man who was riding the motorbike was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital in Cosham with minor injuries.

No-one else is believed to have been hurt in the collision.

Police say the road did not need to be closed.

However the carriageway was partially blocked as a result.

The road was re-opened by 8.05am, about 10 minutes after the collision happened, when the scene had been cleared.
