Supporters of the Rowans Hospice enjoying tea in the garden of Hill Farm House, Swanmore

SUPPORTERS of a charity enjoyed tea in the garden at a fundraising event which raised more than £1,500.

The open garden event took place in the grounds of Hill Farm House, in Swanmore, and saw scores of people attend.

It raised £1,546 for the Rowans Hospice in Purbrook.

Honorary chairwoman of the Southwick Boarhunt Meon Rowans Hospice support group, Eileen Jayne-Wood, said: ‘The event raised so much aided by a wonderful team of helpers. Many visitors enjoyed the truly picturesque garden, delicious homemade cakes and strawberry cream teas.

‘Thank you to everyone who helped and supported this wonderful event.’
