FIREFIGHTERS were called to a petrol station after a motorist over-filled a tank.

A single appliance from Cosham station was called to the leak at Sainsbury’s, in Fitzherbert Road, Farlington, at 4.47pm.

Crew manager Mark Norton, of blue watch, said it took them 10 minutes to clear the half a litre of petrol spilled in the forecourt.

Staff at the garage had closed it and made it
safe before the firefighters arrived.
