FIREFIGHTERS were called to a home in Fareham after a family’s cooker caught fire.

Residents had already put out the fire with a bowl of water when crews arrived at the Fairfield Avenue property at 4.45pm on Saturday. Crews stayed for 20 minutes and used thermal imaging cameras to make sure everything had cooled down.
