Crews tackle van blaze in Southsea

Nearly 2,700 cases of non-recent child abuse have been recorded by police in Hampshire. The NSPCC's chief executive said it is a sign that more people are confident in reporting the crimes perpetrated against them.

FIREFIGHTERS tackled a van blaze in Portsmouth in the early hours of Saturday morning.

An appliance from Southsea fire station was called to Hayling Avenue at around 2am.

Crews used breathing apparatus to put out the blaze. The cause of the fire is unknown.
