TWO thieves stole more than £1,000 cash from a pub in a break-in.

They struck at the Cabmans Rest pub in Plymouth Street, Somers Town, Portsmouth, between 11pm on Wednesday and 1am on Thursday.

Investigating officer PC Tony Langton said: ‘Police were told that two suspects appeared to be wearing hooded tops, jeans and trainers.

‘One suspect had a large build, the other suspect was described as having a small build. We are appealing for witnesses who may have seen people acting suspiciously in Plymouth Street or heard anything outside as the damage caused gaining entry to the pub would have made some noise.’

Anyone with information should call PC Langton at Fratton CID on 101.
