A £10,000 reward is being offered to catch a robber who struck at a Portsmouth betting shop.
Two members of staff were closing the shop at Ladbrokes in Copnor Road, Portsmouth, when a man entered through a rear door.
As reported in The News, he threatened the male staff – one in his 20s and the other in his 30s – with a knife before taking what police say was ‘a quantity of cash’.
The exact amount of money has not been disclosed by detectives.
The man then left the store using the rear door.
The Association of British Bookmakers has now put up the reward for information.
The money is payable for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person who committed the crime, which took place on Wednesday, January 4.
The offender is described as white, in his early 20s, 5ft 10ins to 6ft tall, of slim build, and was wearing dark clothing.
At the time of the offence, police said they believe he may have driven off in a dark-coloured car
