DRINK-DRIVER Ashley Standring has been banned from the roads for 18 months by city magistrates.

The 25-year-old, of Firs Avenue, Waterlooville, pleaded guilty to committing the offence in Solent Road, Havant, on September 19.

A test revealed his breath contained 73 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres. The legal limit is 35mg.

Standring was fined £500 and told to pay a £50 surcharge and £85 costs.
