A MAN aged 73 has been arrested in connection with a series of attacks on horses.

The man, from Fareham, has been released on police bail in connection with the attacks which took place in Titchfield between August 5 and 13.

Staff at Victri Sports Horses, on Laveys Lane in Titchfield, first noticed one of their horses had been wounded on the morning of August 6. It was left with a deep cut across its rump.

Two more horses were later cut in a similar manner.

And electric fence around a pair of paddocks was also damaged overnight on August 8.

The man must answer bail on October 11.
