THE home of an 87-year-old woman was targeted by burglars.

Police have released a description of a woman who they would like to speak to after the raid in Elphinstone Road, Southsea, on Monday.

Between 11.30am and 3.15pm someone broke in through the back door of the ground-floor flat.

Jewellery including silver stamped cufflinks belonging to the victim’s late husband and a small brown purse belonging to her mother were all taken.

Police would like to speak to a woman seen in the area at the time.

She is white, around 5ft 4in tall and slim and aged in her late 20s.

She had brown hair in a ponytail. She was wearing a black jacket with a small white logo.
